Holocaust Unit - The Boy in the Striped Pajamas novel study
- I would like you to finish reading Chapter 1-5 by Monday, May 4th.
- Reading Chapters 6-10 should be complete by Wednesday, May 13th.
- All Chapter Questions and Literary Elements have been sent home and posted below for Chapters 1-10; we will discuss these during our class meetings on Mondays and Wednesdays at 1:00 pm. We will also assign due dates for the completed work during those meetings.

Silent Reading - Book of the Month
- Please continue with your daily silent reading.
- When you have finished your book, please complete the Book of the Month review page for March.
- Find another good book to read and complete the Book of the Month page for April
Writer's Notebooks
- It is very important that you keep actively writing. A minimum of 10 minutes of sustained writing is important for developing stamina and clarity.
- You may use any of the following as topics, or think of your own topics to write about:
- NY Times "What's Going On in this Picture?"
- daily journal of what you are doing during the extended break
- favourites - food, TV shows, movies, music/musicians, places to visit, celebrities, books, websites, video games, etc.
- evaluation and predictions of what is happening in our world; anything relating to COVID-19
- open topics
- use any of the following Writing Starters or Writing Prompts:

- This includes: Psychology definitions, Music of the 60s & 70s, Chapter 1-5 Booklets, Chapter 6-8 Booklets, Chapter 9-11 Booklets.
- Below is a copy of the Pre-Reading Focus Activity for Chapters 12-15. Please complete it and submit upon return to school.
